A Guide to Clean Beauty Ingredients

There is no official governing body for the clean beauty movement and there is no official definition, but at its core, clean beauty refers to beauty products that use non-toxic ingredients and are made with our bodies and environment in mind. Oftentimes, the ingredients found in clean beauty are ethically sourced and not harmful to the environment. Although the terms ‘clean beauty’ and ‘natural beauty’ are used interchangeably, it is important to note that they are actually not the same. Natural beauty refers to the purity of ingredients that are formulated with pure, nature-derived ingredients without synthetics. Clean beauty on the other hand, can have ingredients that are both natural and lab-made, but the key thing being that it is still safe to use and non-toxic.
